The EU has agreed on the introduction of an EU Covid certificate. This will facilitate free movement, which is advantageous when companies send for example technicians to other EU Member States.

The negotiators of the European Parliament and the Council reached on 20 May 2021 an agreement on an EU Covid certificate. This certificate attests that a person has been vaccinated against the coronavirus, has a recent negative test result, or has recovered. In addition, the 27 EU Member States should not impose additional travel restrictions (for example quarantine and testing), unless these measures are necessary and proportionate to protect public health. The EU negotiators also agreed that this arrangement should be in place for one year. read more
