Start of 1st VDMA Shanghai Training Sessions: VDMA Shanghai trains VDMA members on Import-Export
VDMA Shanghai has launched its new event concept of training sessions. The training sessions are introduced in order to train VDMA members on a specific topic related to the mechanical engineering industry. The trainings should help VDMA members to not only strengthen their theoretical knowledge but to also implement the acquired knowledge in their practical daily work. The number of seats for each training is limited in order to make a detailed discussion and customized training possible.
VDMA members have attended the first training session on the topic of Import-Export on the 9th of March 2016. The Import-Export training sessions take place in total four times this year .The content of each session will focus on another important aspect of Import-Export. The first training on Import-Export consisted of a detailed training on Export including the selection of incoterms, payment terms and the way of shipment. The second training will deal with further aspects of Export such as the calculation method for insurance, commission, VAT Refund, logistics and further tax headaches (e.g. HS Codes). The third and fourth training will concentrate on Import. Amongst others the conflict between HS Codes and tariffs, bonded arrangements, EPZ and import of special products will be topics.
The feedback of VDMA members was highly positive and we are looking forward to the second part of the Import-Export training on the 25th May this year! Further trainings on different topics for our VDMA members are in the planning process.
